What to Expect at Merriman Road
If you are new and planning to join us for worship on Sunday, here is a bit of what you can expect.
Location:
Visit us at 2055 Merriman Road, Garden City (just south of Ford Road)
Parking:
You can find parking on the south, west and north sides of our building. Even an extra lot down Pardo St. Areas are outlined in Red.
Entrances:
You can find entrances on the south side (main entrance) and also on the north side (office entrance) of the building.
People:
As the saying goes, there are no perfect people, but we trust that you will find a warm group of people following Jesus who will extend his love and grace to you. We know that people come from all walks, different places and different cultures with different stories and we want to hear your story and help be of encouragement to you on the journey of faith.
Dress:
You can expect a range of styles from casual to business to more formal. You are welcome to wear whatever attire that you are comfortable in! The Lord is concerned with your heart, not your outward appearance!
Services:
Sunday Morning: Services are the same in structure and last about 60-75 minutes. You will experience our worship team who will lead you in a variety of Christian worship songs that feature more contemporary music and historic songs of the faith. We will help you connect by sharing what is happening in the life of our church and help you see how you can plug in. Then the focus our our service is to hear from the word of God. You will be challenged and encouraged through sermons that are usually about 30 minutes and we will give you an opportunity to respond and pray with pastors who can help guide you as you listen to what God is saying. We observe the Lord's Supper usually about once a month but more frequently on occasion. You will also get to witness new believers be baptized as a sign of their faith when the Lord prepares their hearts and people are ready to go public with their faith!
Sunday Evening: services are similar and last about 60 minutes. Worship in song is through the more historical hymns of the faith. There are also occasions where we may not have an evening service or have it in a different location (usually around holidays or for special occasions).
Groups:
Sunday morning there are groups for all ages. You can find a small group where you can share life with others in community around the word of God. These are offered at the same times as our services as well as at other times and locations during the week. Check our our Groups tab for more information.
Kids:
We love kids and hope you bring your whole family. Every Sunday morning children of all ages have opportunity for engagement with the others and God in small groups and in worship through song while you can participate in the main auditorium knowing that they are being well cared for. All of our children volunteers are trained to lead, serve and care for your children. When you enter you will find a kids check in area for you to know where to go.

The Welcome desk is available in the lobby for you if you have questions or would like more information about us.
