Staff
Christopher Babb has been on staff with Merriman Road since early 2018. He is currently serving our church leading our students, care groups and worship teams. He and his wife Casey have been married since January 2016 and have two daughters Cecelia and Charlotte. Christopher is a graduate of Boyce College, the undergraduate school at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Kevin serves as Pastoral Apprentice working primarily with our small group and discipleship ministries. He and his wife Erin have been married since June 2016. Kevin is a graduate of the University of Michigan-Dearborn and of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Janet has served helping to keep the books at MRBC since 2008 and has been a member since 1998. She has been married to her husband Paul since 2002 and they have two children Christina and Elijah. Janet is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Marygrove College, keeps busy by investing in her kids and reading books in her leisure time. Darlene Walsh has been on staff since late 2019. Her background is in HR Management and Recruitment. Darlene has a heart and passion for women’s ministry and also serves on the Baptist State Convention of Michigan Women’s Ministry Leadership Team and in Christian Women’s Job Corp. Darlene is married to John, she’s a mother and grandmother.
Pastor Wayne Parker and his wife, Cindy, have five children. They served on the West side of Michigan for 13 years in church planting. Pastor Wayne accepted the call to come serve at his home church (Merriman Road Baptist) in 1996. He is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Dave Ferraro has served on staff with Merriman Road since 2009 and gives leadership to the small group ministries of our church. He and his wife Becky have been married since 2002 and have 7 children (Isaac, Gracelyn, Owen, Ethan, Nolan, Emmalee and Hudson). Dave is a graduate of Wayne State University and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Rob and his wife, Kelley, have been ministering to our college students for several years now. They hold weekly Bible studies in thier home, on the campuses of Henry Ford Community College, Schoolcraft College, Wayne State Univerity, and Sunday mornings at Merriman Road. Rob and Kelley have 2 children, Ashley and Austin.
Jessica Kogelmann grew up in Michigan and graduated from Spring Arbor University in 2000. She has been a member of MRBC since 1994. Jessica accepted the position as our Children's Minister in 2002. She was married to her husband, Joe, in April 2001. They have 4 children, Kaden, Ellie, Aleah and Lana.
