Salvation

How do I become saved? What does it mean to be saved? How do I secure my place in heaven?

The Christ event was so significant that virtually the entire world has restarted its calendar because of it. Who is this Christ and why is He so special? His birth was so powerful that we now date from it. The new millennium is a milestone—a celebration that makes us even more mindful of the impact of Jesus upon our world.

Jesus Christ can give you direction and peace in your life. You can experience forgiveness and eternal life in heaven, and also a full and meaningful life here on earth.

Millions of people have had their lives changed by His love. And you can meet this living Savior in a life-changing encounter today! Celebrate Jesus with us by receiving Him into your life! The following tells how!

God's Love

God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son so that whoever believes in Him may not be lost, but have eternal life (see John 3:16).

God's Plan

Jesus came that we might have life, and that we may have it to the fullest (see John 10:10). If God loves the whole world, why are most people not experiencing the full and meaningful life He offers?

Our Sin

"For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23, NIV).

Our Separation

"For the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23 NIV). Sin costs! Its ultimate cost is death and an eternity apart from God. But God loves us and has provided a way for us to experience forgiveness of sin, abundant life on earth, and everlasting life in heaven.

Jesus Is God Who Became Man

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... and the Word was made flesh, and made his dwelling among us" (John 1:1,14, NIV)

Jesus Died on the Cross for Us

"For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God" (1 Peter 3:18. KJV).

Jesus Defeated Death For You

"He was delivered for our offenses, and was raised again for our justification" (Romans 4:25, KJV).

It is not enough just to know the facts about Jesus. We must turn from our ways and turn to Him. We must receive Him to be saved. "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the power to become the sons of God" (John 1:12, KJV).

How to Receive Christ

A personal relationship with God begins by praying to receive Christ: "Whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved" (Romans 10:13, KJV). You can use the following prayer right now as a guide.

"Lord, thank You for loving me and coming to earth to show us the way. I believe You died to pay for my sin and You were raised from the dead to give me eternal life. I want to turn from my sin and place my faith in You right now. Please come into my life and be my Savior and Lord. Show me how to live and help me to follow You always. In Your name I pray. Amen."

How to Grow As a Christian

1. Read the Bible every day. Begin in the book of John. Learn as much as you can about Jesus.
2. Pray daily. Prayer is talking to God. You can pray anytime, even when you sin or fail in life.
3. Attend a good church where Christ is honored, the Bible is taught, and everyone is welcomed.
4. Tell someone who would be happy to hear of your commitment to Christ.
