We enter into Holy Week with the celebration of the crowd who called out to Jesus Hosanna! The Gospel witnesses record for us that there was deep and overt meaning to the statement Jesus made during his triumphal entry to Jerusalem. Through his actions and his words Jesus made the clear declaration that He and he alone is the rightful King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Join us as we open to Matthew 21 and walk through that day together.

Beginning a New Chapter has challenged us toward Godliness in all of our lives. The life of Christ in us, as we abide in him changes us completely. Thus we seek His presence in prayer, we desire the truth of His word in our life, we share His saving mission to the world and we desire to serve Him by serving others. These expressions of the disciples life have a clear impact on our marriages and family life as well. In the epistle to the Ephesians church Paul calls the church to strive for unity and in the context of that instruction teaches how to seek unity in our homes. Join us as we explore these truths together.

This week we will turn to the first letter of the disciple John to hear instruction from the Word of God reminding us to love one another by serving each other. This instruction was heavy on the heart of Jesus before he went to the cross and is repeated by John to the church in this letter. It is the love that we have for one another that brings glory to God.

From Colossians 1, we find an example and teaching from the Apostle Paul that as the Church of Jesus Christ we are to make disciples. Disciples making disciples make a difference. Let us pray to the Lord of the harvest that He will raise up laborers in the Harvest.

As we continue to look at the disciplines of our discipleship and taking steps towards godliness we are going to turn to Jesus’ instruction to His disciples on how to abide in Him. This is such a rich teaching. In it we will see that from our relationship with Christ and his life flowing into ours, comes the strength we need to; remain in his word, persist in prayer, be faithful in service to one another and fruitful in our witness.
