There are lots of things going on in class right now.  Come to any of our programs and check them out!

 

Here's what's coming up: 

 

April

 

Sunday, April 29: Hey kids, are you ever just too tired to change out of your pajamas in the morning?  Well, on Sunday, April 29 you don't have to--it's our annual pajama day in Sunday School and Children's Church.  Bring your friends and come for breakfast, games, an awesome lesson from God's Word and more!  The fun starts at 9:30 in Sunday School and continues at 11 for Children's Church.

 

May

 

Friday, May 4 & Saturday, May 5: R.A. Congress.

 

Sunday, May 6, 12:30: 5th & 6th Grade girls' Sunday School class' Silly Sock Swap.  Bring a pair of new socks to exchange, enjoy lunch and go home with a great new pair of silly socks. 

 

Sunday, May 6, 3-4:45: Children's Choir Rehearsal.

 

Sunday, May 20, 3-4:45pm: Children's Choir Rehearsal.

 

Sunday, May 20: Last night of TeamKID until September.

 

Wednesday, May 23, last Fellowship meal until September.  We will follow our regular, fall-spring schedule with R.A.s and G.A.s meeting from 6-7 and Children's Choir meeting from 7-8.

 

Sunday, May 27, 12:30pm: R.A. trip to Veteran's Cemetery.

 

Wednesday, May 30: First night of Summer Schedule.  Children's programs will be from 7-8 and will alternate between Children's Choir and our mission groups.  Please check the bulletin throughout the summer months for information about which groups are meeting.

At Merriman Road Baptist Church we take that commandment very seriously. We provide a welcoming, loving atmosphere and many different programs to encourage children to do just that: to come to Jesus.

Children and their families are always welcome at Merriman Road Baptist Church. Please read on to see what we have to offer children in grades 1-6.

Our Mission Statement

The Children’s Ministries of Merriman Road Baptist Church exist for the sole purpose of teaching Biblical values, sharing God’s love and showing children how they can have a personal faith in Jesus Christ and live and grow as one of His disciples.

Our Goals

• To provide relevant, age-appropriate opportunities for children.

• To provide godly leaders who are well-trained to serve as positive role models.

• To provide a safe, nurturing environment in which children feel loved.

Summer notes: TeamKID does not meet in the summer and we have only one 7pm class on Wednesday night. Our mission groups and children’s choir alternate meeting at this time during the summer.

Our Children’s Programs

Hey kids! Looking for some fun stuff to do? Want to learn more about Jesus? Want to learn more about the Bible? Merriman Road Baptist Church has something for every kid. All of our programs are on this page. Each one is a great place for any kid to come and learn more about God and His Word!

Bible Study

Not your traditional Sunday School. It’s fun! Using activities, crafts, music and more, kids explore the Bible from A-Z and everything in between! Children meet in small groups arranged according to grade. Bible Study is at 9:30 Sunday mornings.

TeamKID

Love sports? Love being active? TeamKID is just for you! TeamKID keeps you on your toes; teaching kids the Bible while doing fast-paced, high-energy activities. TeamKID meets September through May Sunday 4:45-7 pm.

Children’s Church

Silly skits? Music just for kids? Fun Bible lessons? Games? Where can you find all that at church? In Children’s Church of course! Children’s Church is a worship service just for kids! We worship God and learn about His Word with fun themes such as Bible Boot Camp, Bugs, and Got Wisdom? The themes keep changing to keep it fun and exciting! Children’s Church meets at 11am Sunday mornings.

Royal Ambassadors (boys only) & Girls in Action (girls only)

You care about people and you love helping out. You also love to learn about different countries and cultures. If this sounds like you, check out our mission groups: Royal Ambassadors and Girls in Action. In class, kids learn about missionaries and different places all over the world. Out of class, they learn to be missionaries by doing all kinds of mission projects. Both groups are split by grade level and meet on Wednesday nights from 6 to 6:55.

Children’s Choir

In Children’s Choir you can learn fun music, sing, do choreography and even act! Our Children’s Choir does two exciting musicals each year and has fun practicing for them every Wednesday night from 7 to 8 pm.

Inferno

 A place for preteens to hang out, be themselves and dive deeper into their relationship with God--that’s Inferno! It’s just for 5^th and 6^th graders. Like Lazer Tag? Canoeing? Camping? Putt-Putt? These are some of the fun events we do when we meet once a month. To top off our activities, we always mix in a cool lesson from God’s Word!

Special Activities

Along with our classes, we have lots of fun activities scheduled each year. Everything from slumber parties, camps and carnivals to serving in various service projects throughout the community. There is truly something for every kid at Merriman Road Baptist Church!
